Officials Should Work Collectively to Hold Muslim Students Int’l Quran Contest

EHRAN (IQNA) – A member of the policy-making council of the 6th International Quran Competition for Muslim Students called on officials of Khorasan Razavi province to collectively work for best holding the event.

The Iranian northeastern province will host the international Quranic event in January 2017.

Hassan Bayadi made the remarks in a meeting of the policy-making council held in the province’s capital, the holy city of Mashhad.

He expressed the hope that using the example of Isfahan, which hosted the first edition of the event in 2006, the officials of Khorasan Razavi province make efforts to best hold the 6th edition.

Based on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) singed between Hamid Reza Tayyebi, head of the Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), and Ali Reza Rashidian, governor general of Khorasan Razavi province, last month, Mashhad will be the host city of the 6th edition of the International Quran Competition for Muslim Students.

The Iranian Academics Quranic Activities Organization has organized the competition biannually since 2006 with the aim of promoting unity and cooperation among Muslim world students and elevating the level of Quranic activities.
